In 1960. Amelia Marie, 1 56-foot cruiser built by Stephens Brothers of Stockton, tested the waters for the first time. She slid down the ways at the local ship building yard as the property of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Brix of Fresno. The couple planned to take the boat on a Centtral America cruise and eventually live aboard about six months out of the year.  

April 23, 2023, she re-enters those same waters 63 years later, after a full two-year restoration, as Joie de Vivre.
