Built in Singapore in 1972 at American Marine. Purchased in 2009 from previous owner Al Lee who trucked the boat up to the San Francisco Bay Area from southern California. Based on charts found aboard and that Honey Bea is a documented vessel her cruising range would have been the Channel Islands and Mexico. She has been the Aeolian Yacht Club Race Committee boat for 14 years and has participated in the Opening Day decorated boat parade having won two third places and one first place this year. She has been a safety boat for several open coast sea kayak symposiums. She is cruised regularly on San Francisco Bay with occasional ventures out the Gate and North on the open coast.
