PROTEUS II is a well-maintained example of the popular Elco 50 flat-top cruiser. The wheelhouse and saloon are in the raised deckhouse, with excellent visibility all the way around, and one can walk freely around the entire deck. Deck shelter is provided by the “flat top,” which extends from the wheelhouse back over the aft deck and beneath which is the original Elco dinghy and Cleopatra sofa opposite. PROTEUS II has benefited from caring ownership and has won numerous awards.
