Arianna

Historical Summary:

Delivered new to San Francisco in 1970, Arianna—originally named Shiksa II—spent her early years cruising and as a liveaboard apartment in the Bay Area. After serving one or two owners there, she was sold and transported up the Pacific Coast to Edmonds, Washington, in 1996. In 2001, under new ownership, she underwent an extensive refit, including minor hull repairs and major interior enhancements aimed at improving comfort and preparing her for long-range cruising. All work honored her classic Grand Banks craftsmanship, carefully preserving her original design and construction techniques. Renamed Arianna, she proved her seaworthiness with multiple voyages to Alaska between 2003 and 2014. In 2015, Leroy and Betty Lewis became Arianna’s stewards, continuing her legacy as a capable and elegant long-distance cruiser.
